Many of the candidates who chose this question gave the correct answer.
WAEC GCE General Comments
- The paper compared favorably with those of previous years in standard and quality.
- The Marking Scheme was also exhaustive.
- The questions were straight forward and devoid of ambiguity.
- Candidates’ overall performance is better than that of last year.
Candidates' Weakness and Suggested Remedies
Candidates wrote more than the required length of essay, consequently they made more mistakes.
Some of them did not read the instructions.
SUGGESTED REMEDIES
To improve on candidates’ performance, teachers of French should endeavour to educate their students more on the importance of reading, understanding and adhering to instructions when attempting any paper.
