ABSTRACT
The performance of any organization does not only
base on the management ability to make business plans, it should include finding a means to improve the safety
of the workers. This study has its objective to identify strategies for
managing industrial accident with a view to improving workers morale and
performance in the workplace. The study sought to identify the effects of
industrial accidents on the employee’s morale, ascertain the direct and
indirect cost of industrial accident in Guinness Nigeria Breweries Plc and
identify organizational compensation strategy for legal requirements. The
literature review is made up of introduction, academic and empirical Review and
theoretical framework.
Chi-square statistical tool was used to analyze accept
or reject the hypothesis formulated in chapter one of the study. The result of
the findings from the analysis reveals that industrial accidents have
significant effect on employee morale. Also, that cost of industrial accidents
has a significant effect on the organizations performance and finally that
employees training has significant impact on controlling industrial accident in
organization. Finally, the researcher recommends that government and management
of industries should embark on global diversity plant to communicate among
staff from various department to enable them control the erroneous work or
industrial accidents as well as improve
in their production rate.
