OPERATIONAL DEFINITION OF TERMS IN LEADERSHIP STYLE

Leadership Style:- This refers to democratic and autocratic leadership styles adopted by the leaders in an organization.

Democratic Leadership Style:- This is the type of leadership style that focuses on interpersonal relationship that exists in an organization with a view to ensuring a congenial social environment that facilitates the emergence of high employee moral and job satisfaction. As measured by fleistmant
(1953).

Autocratic Leadership Style:- This is the type of leadership style that pays greater prelium to the organizational demands with a view to ensuing that tasks are performed as specified through tight work standard. As measured by flistman (1953).

Job Involvement:- This is the extent to which an employee is attached and engrossed in his or her general employment circumstances as measured by Job involvement scale (Lodahl & Kejner 1965).

Perceived Organizational Support:-
This is the extent to which workers or employees perceive their organization to be supportive, as measured by Pos scale. (Eisenberger 1986).
