Google Adsense Program
is one of the internationally accepted and satisfied advertising programs for
all publishers who own a blog. The full meaning of CTR in Adsense Program is “Click
Through Rate” which means the percentage of clicks received per one hundred
(100) impressions. For example, if a blog receives one (1) click for hundred (100) page
views, the CTR is one percent (1%) and if it receives one (1) click for one (1) page
view, the calculated CTR is hundred percent (100%).
When a website or blog receives a high CTR, it means that the webpage is
getting very high amount of clicks for very small amount of traffic. This can
have a positive and negative impact.
What situation Can a Publisher’s high CTR makes no problem
for an Adsense Account?
Now read this: If a publisher is a legitimate publisher who is not
forcing anyone or visitors to click their own sites adverts, then they don't need
to fear about high CTR on their website/blog. Notwithstanding, there are quite
a lot of situations where high CTR may occur. Consider the screenshot
shown below.
From the
screenshot above, the CTR is more than 6% because of very low traffic and so
many valid clicks.
No uncertainty if
a publisher’s high CTR is occurring due to invalid clicks, Adsence account
surely gets banned (disapproved) from the program. Consider the following screenshot
for example.
This is the type
of clicks that will surely make your Adsense account get banned. The above
screenshot simply illustrates that someone somewhere has click bombed the account.
Sometimes you
might meet some publishers who had cashed out about 35 % CTR without any
problem but some account can be immediately disapproved by Google.

So always take a good
look at your Adsense account on a daily basis. It is advised that a publisher
removes the Adsense Ads from his/her website and blog for some days if he/she
is sure he is innocent about the click bomb crime. The Adsense can be replaced
after a few days or weeks to prevent the account being banned (disapproved).
