WANT AN INCREASED ADSENSE CPC? LEARN THE Dos AND DON’Ts

THINGS YOU MUST DO TO INCREASE CPC:
1.      Google team themselves recommend publishers to enable all ad units to show both text and image/rich media ads. This option will increase competition of ads. By increasing the number of advertisers competing for your ad units, the ad auction will make sure that the highest paying ad will be shown. You can decide to learn more about this point Google Adsense center where one of their publishers implemented this change, and edited all their units in bulk with the new AdSense interface for better performance.

2.      Even thought you have a option of blocking some ads from displaying on your webpage, Google has recommended that webmasters should keep their filter list as little as possible so that you don’t unknowingly reduce your possible earning by blocking the highest-paying ads. You can decide to watch Google Adsense Program videos to better appreciate the ad auction and how to enable the most competition for the ad spots.

3.      A Google team representative has advised publishers to increase the number of ads competing for your website/blog by setting up custom channels for ad placement targeting. If you don’t know how to set this up, it is recommended that you read details and instructions on how to set these up from Google center.

4.      In my previous post, I mentioned this; the high-paying ads are always shown in the ad unit that appears first in the HTML code of a website/blog. To take advantage of this, you will need to understand which of your ad units has the highest click through rate (CTR) by using custom channels. Then, you can easily change the code of your website to make sure that your top performing unit is the one with the highest-bidding ads. This advice is directly from Google Adsense center.

THINGS YOU MUST NOT DO TO INCREASE CPC
1.      From post I have read from different blogs/websites, some publishers think that by writing articles about high paying keywords they will be able to improve the revenue on their websites/blogs. This is one practice that that Google discourages, (in fact, they really frown at it). Google in one of their post recommended writing articles about subjects that the publisher/author knows very well and passionate about so as to continue to create the persuasive and unique content that attracts visitors/reader to your website/blog.

2.      You should never use scraped content on your website/blog. Mimicking Google is the worst thing you can ever do as a blogger. It’s a violation of Google Adsense policies. Read more directly from Google Adsense Center.

3.      Are you among the people that want to get rich from the back door? Then adsense is not for you. Don’t create numerous Google Adsense accounts. Google never permitted to have more than one account. Publishers are not in any case permitted to maintain several AdSense accounts under the same payee name. Another important thing you should never do is having the ad code of another accounts on the same website, even though Google says that it will not affect your CPC in any way, but be warned because it is not good.

4.      As a final point, don’t ever try to maneuver the standard behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads in whichever way that is not plainly acceptable by Google. These points will prevent Google from banning/disapproving your account. In case you have any doubt of what I wrote down here, it is recommended that you read the AdSense program policies very well once again.
