HOW TO RESEARCH PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SMES) IN NIGERIA

3.1                               RESEARCH DESIGN
            The researcher shall use quasi experimental research design

3.2       SOURCES OF DATA
            The intending researcher shall use two sources of data collection such as:-
(a)       Primary sources:- These shall include questionnaire and interviews that will be conducted on people.

(b)       Secondary sources:- These shall include already published materials in the form of text books, journals, magazines, unpublished seminar materials, newspapers etc from libraries and also through desk research.

3.3       POPULATION OF STUDY
The intending researcher shall use registered Small and medium enterprises of about 120 whose staff strength should be 1,000 as the underlying intending population for the proposed studying.

3.4       METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION    
Data shall be collected through questionnaire, interviews including informal discussions, published and unpublished materials and also through desk research.

3.5       METHOD OF DATA ANALYSIS 
The intending researcher shall use the statistical package for the social science (SPSS) the statistical techniques to be used in this analysis includes chi-square, bar chart, histogram, binomial distribution, standard deviation, Pie chart, analysis of variance, contingency table, frequency distribution etc.
