OBSERVATION / RECOMMENDATION
I observe that at the Remand
Home, these tanagers are left/ dump there without anyone caring for them,
secondly the structures does not worth being
a prison ward at all. There was nothing like a good fenced, rather it was an
open gate in which those children can easily escape or someone can easily come
and harm them; thirdly in my conversation with the Director of Child
Rights Development I observe that being the director in charge, she was not
aware that my client has been discharge
except when they securities brought the list to her which
she checked through.
However I recommend that the Lagos Remand Home should be given a good structure, secondly a lawyer
should be assigned to attend there constantly
in other to be passing information to the Director of Child Right
Development.
Thirdly they should be provided
with skill acquisition and their feeding should improve.
Finally I recommend also that
student should be assigned to fresh inmates and not the previous ones that were
assigned to our predecessors.
