VEGETATION AND TOPOGRAPHY OF NASSAWARA STATE IN NIGERIA


        The topography of the North Central are mainly plain and some plateau due to continue Basement uplift observed in the Akwanga hill along Lafia–Akwanga road on the side of vegetation, the area studied possess moderate vegetation which are sparse in few areas, not minding that it is mainly of igneous and metamorphic
complexes. There are some areas of sedimentary deposit which are thickly vegetated due to easy release of plant nutrient for uses.

        In relation to soil type, the areas covered by the basement are dominated by clay – loam soil which aid people of the area opportunity to plant and cultivate crops like rice, yam, onions, orange tee, mango fruit, etc.
