LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY OF NASSAWARA STATE IN NIGERIA


        The mapped area is bounded by the sediments of Sokoto and chad basin on the latitude of about 9o551 and 9o571 North East and North West respectively and also lies between longitude of about 9o5012511 and 10o 571 2511 East. It is also bounded by the sediments of the Niger and Benue Rivers in the South all in Central Nigeria.

        The studied area consist of Nassarawa Eggon, Mada Wowyen hill after Abonju hill,  Wamba road Akwanga – River Kwoi near Mada water works along Akwanga Keffi road and Laminga village about 13 – 14km away of Nassarawa.
        The studied area is assessable and enhanced by major road from Abakaliki – Enugu, it continue from Enugu town through 9th mile – Nsukka – Obolo Afor and to Otupa in Benue state and from Otukpa to Otukpo Aliede, Markudi–Lafia in Nassarawa state across river Benue and finally get to Lafia through Nassarawa Eggon-Akwanga our base camp before field.
        On the studied properly, Accessibility were through Akwanga –Lafia road, Akwanga – Wamba road, Akwanga –Keffi road and lastly Keffi –Laminga– Nassarawa road.
