(i) WASSC
The name for this examination is "The West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates, 2016/2017 (WASSCE for School Candidates, 2016/17) and is optional for current 12th graders and those from the 2015/2016 Condensed School year in Montserrado, Margibi, Grand bassa, Bomi, Bong and Nimba Counties. Educational Secretariats are hereby encouraged to present candidates from at least one in their schools in these counties.
(ii) LSHSCE
The name for this examination is "The Liberia Senior High School Certificate Examination for School Candidates 2016/2017 (LSHSCE for School Candidates 2016/17) and is for current 9th and 10th graders in all counties.
(1) What to Capture during the Registration
(2) Validate Candidates’ Details & Burn on Compact Disk (CD)
(2) The Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination (LJHSCE): Only the candidate’s average for 7th and 8th grades per subject is needed.
Print three (3) copies of the summary sheet. The summary sheet is a report that is generated by the registration application once you have completed inputting all your data;
Write the Official WAEC Receipt Number at the bottom of each Summary Sheet; and Sign and stamp each copy; and submit all three (3) copies to the WAEC Officer.
(2) CD With Your School Information
Note: The cost of the result checker card that can be used five (5) times has been included in the examination fees. School authorities should therefore ensure that they receive the correct number of Results Checker Cards for the total number of candidates they will pay for before leaving the WAEC Office or registration site.
No registration fee will be considered for candidates from any school without the payment for the Chief Examiners’ Reports.

SUBJECT: INFORMATION, FEES AND ENTRY SCHEDULE FOR THE 2016 SCHOOL CANDIDATES’ EXAMINATIONS (WASSCE, LSHSCE & LJHSCE) IN LIBERIA
We present complements on behalf oof the Secretariat of the Monroovia office of the West African Examination Council WAEC) and hereby forward to you the information sheet containing fees to bbe paid and the entry schedules for the 2016/2017 School Candidates' Examinations. Schools presenting candidates for these examinations must adhere to the following;1. NAMES AND CANDIDATES FORT THE 2016/2017 EXAMINATIONS
(i) WASSC

2. ENTRY PERIOD (REGISTRATION)
The entry period for these examinations shall run from Nov 2nd 2015/2016 to January 23rd of 2016/2017 as per the time table below. There will be absolutely no late registration. Eight (8) registration Sites/Centers will be used for the exercise.

3. ENTRY (REGISTRATION) PROCEDURE
- Offline Batch Registration- Same procedures used for the 2014 examinations. Please note that the Examination Year is 2016 and not 2015.
(1) What to Capture during the Registration
- Candidates’ Personal Information (correct names, gender and date of birth)
- Subjects; Photos; and School Grades
(2) Validate Candidates’ Details & Burn on Compact Disk (CD)
- Go to Drive “C” on your computer and locate the folder generated by the system (WAEC Application) for your school. Such folder will be named as follows:
Senior High – SNR_SCHOOL CODE (6 digits)_2016
Junior High – JNR_SCHOOL CODE (6 digits)_2016
- Burn the folder generated by the system for your school on a blank CD;
- Do not modify the folder manually before or after burning on the CD;
- Submit the CD containing your school’s entry to WAEC Registration Site; and
- Do not submit multiple entries for one school.
4. CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT SCORES (SCHOOL GRADES)
(1) The Liberia Senior High School Certificate Examination (LSHSCE)- (a) Submit the final averages per subject for the 10th and 11th grades ;
- (b) For 12th grade, submit the candidate’s average for the 1st and 2nd marking period tests where applicable.
(2) The Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination (LJHSCE): Only the candidate’s average for 7th and 8th grades per subject is needed.
5. THINGS TO SUBMIT AT THE REGISTRATION CENTER
(1) Summary SheetPrint three (3) copies of the summary sheet. The summary sheet is a report that is generated by the registration application once you have completed inputting all your data;
Write the Official WAEC Receipt Number at the bottom of each Summary Sheet; and Sign and stamp each copy; and submit all three (3) copies to the WAEC Officer.
(2) CD With Your School Information
- Submit the CD containing your school’s information to the WAEC Office; and
- Ensure that WAEC receives and acknowledges all documents you submit.
6. FEES FOR THE 2017 EXAMINATIONS
The approved fees per candidate for the Examinations are as follows:- Liberia Senior High School Certificate Examination - L$2,600.00
- Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination - L$1,850.00
Note: The cost of the result checker card that can be used five (5) times has been included in the examination fees. School authorities should therefore ensure that they receive the correct number of Results Checker Cards for the total number of candidates they will pay for before leaving the WAEC Office or registration site.
7. PURCHASE OF THE CHIEF EXAMINERS' REPORT
Electronic copies of the Chief Examiners’ Reports with past examination questions and answers on CDs will be sold to all schools during the registration period as follows:- Liberia Senior High School Certificate Examination - LD$500.00
- Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination - LD$300.00
No registration fee will be considered for candidates from any school without the payment for the Chief Examiners’ Reports.
8. SALES OF THE EXAMINATION SYLLABUSES
Copies of the 2015/2016 Examination Syllabuses are on sale at the WAEC Office at the following prices:- LSHSCE - LD$1,500.00
- LJHSCE - LD$1,000.00

School authorities are to deposit the fees for the examination and related activities in any ofthe banks listed below:

10. REFUND POLICY
School authorities are advised to properly vet / edit their candidates’ entries before submittingtheir school CDs to WAEC. WAEC Office will not refund any fees deposited in its Account
by school authorities for those who will not carry out due diligence in their candidates’
registration process.
11. EXAMINATION DATES
The dates for the administration of the 2016 Examinations are as follows:- WASSCE - March 31 - April 28, 2016 (12 days)
- LJHSCE - May 5 - 6, 2016 (2 days);
- LSHSCE - May 9 - 13, 2016 (5 days).
12. DATES FOR THE RELEASE OF RESULTS
The expected dates for the release of results are as follows:- WASSCE - Date to be determined by WAEC Headquarters;
- LJHSCE - July 1, 2016;
- LSHSCE - July 1, 2016.
