As a result of the recent transfer
in the office which affected two of us, I hereby hand over the duties of Motor
Licensing Authority (MLA), working materials and office equipment/furniture in Ikorodu
Motor Licensing Office to you.
Challenges: the people of this local Government Area do not
patronize this office as they should. Instead, they go to other Motor Licensing
Offices, especially Lagos to register and renew their particulars. I tried my
best to sensitize them to no avail.
Ebonyi state government has started
auto-registration, but no auto registration machine is allotted to Ikorodu Motor
Licensing Office. Whenever customer comes to register vehicles, renew of
vehicle licenses or motor vehicle tests, either you go to Onueke motor
licensing office for renewal of vehicle particulars or Lagos for
auto-registration of new vehicles.
Staff Strength: In this motor licensing office, there are two members
of permanent staff and two task force members. The permanent staff members are MR.
A, MR. B and MR. C.
My advice: As a new person for motor licensing work, anything
about the office work which you do not know how to handle, ask those staff mentioned
above. They know the jobs of motor licensing office. However, if you are still
entertaining doubt, refer it to the State Motor Registry (SMR) at the
Headquarters. Exchange phone numbers with him for easy communication.
As an indigene of the area, you have
the advantages to meet the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NUTRW) and
Motorcycle Transport Union popularly known as Okada Union at the following
parks and solicit for their corporation and support.

Appendices A-E contain the following
records: used security documents, cash books, used tellers for lodgments

change of categories.
