ABSTRACT
This seminar is aimed at evaluating democracy in
Nigerian leadership, both the problems and prospects in this contemporary and
future political instability. Democracy as well known is meant to put food on
the table for the common man and promote human rights and engendering Social
development. In Nigeria
today, it tries to emphasize that democracy is not meaningful if there is no
flow of information necessary for exchange of ideas.
It calls for attention of
political leaders to understand the plurality of the Nigerian nation and work together as a people with one common goal of
democracy. The masses propose that the struggle for political office should not
be seen as a matter of life and death even as on avenue of partaking in the
sharing of the national cake, rather it should be seen as a struggle against
tribalism, greediness and selfishness etc.
