This article investigated the influence of employees perceived organizational support
and leadership style on job involvement. Participant were randomly selected
from J.C udeagbala holdings company Aba, Abia State. The ages of these
participants ranged from 20 years and
above, the mean age of the participants is 28.9. The instruments used for data
collection were Questionnaires which contained two sections A and B.
Section A measured demographic variables of interest such as gender, ages, marital status, years of experience- section B measured perceived organizational support with eight (8) items, Job involvement with
twenty (20) terms and leadership style with forty-eight (48) items, the design was cross- sectional survey research type. Three hypothesis were stated and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to analyze the stated hypotheses. The first hypothesis stated that, there will be a statistical significant influence of perceived organizational support on Job involvement.
The analysis of this hypothesis showed a significant of the result (FB,LI,72)= 4-81p<.05). This indicated that perceived organizational support has influence on job involvement. The second hypothesis stated that, there will be a statistical significant influence of leadership style on Job involvement the analysis of these hypothesis showed non-significant of the result. (FA,LI,72) = 1.12,p >.05). this indicates that leadership style has no influence on Job involvement.
The third hypothesis stated that, there will be a joint statistical significant influence of perceived organizational support and leadership style on job involvement, the analysis of this hypothesis showed a significant of the result, (FA x B LI,72) = 10.0 1 p<0.5). This indicated that perceived organizational support and leadership style jointly has a significant influence on job involvement of workers in an organization. The result were discussed and recommendations were made.
