Quartzo-feldspar vein Found In Nassarawa State


The location is located along Akwanga – Lafia road. The location is an outcrop of older granite compare to the one we saw at the other outcrop (location 3). The granite occurs in schist i.e. they are foliated (pan-African) with alignment of some minerals. 


#There is also a horizontal joint that is cementing them together and the horizontal joint helps in terms of breaking them to aggregates for construction work and there are also vertical joint in the formation and quartz veins is also there. 

        Measurement of features taken here are as follows;
Thickness of the quartz vein;
(1)    5cm (2) 4cm (3) 2.5cm (4) 3cm
