The studied areas are in the north
central of Nigeria Basement Complexes which indicates some major rock units of
migmatite gneiss and schist belt. However it is mainly underlay by basement
rocks and some intrusive rocks like the younger granite, older granite, Eggon
dyke and dolerite sill etc.
Some
important structures such as foliation, dyke, fault, fold, veins, tectonic
structures were all observed and their obvious significance was experienced in
chapter five above of this report and the general trend of this foliation as
N-N direction.
However,
their mineralogy, texture and ages of their constituent rocks have shown their
involvement in tectonism, metamorphism and intrusion.
Finally,
the crystalline rocks according to the literature review have undergone
reactivation during the pan-African (600 ± 150mg) event leading to the remobilization of
rock and minerals.
