(b) MORPHOLOGY
Habit:
It is a deiccluous tree of about 60mtall and about 1.5m in
diameter, it has
widely spreading b ranches which forms flattered crown. The bark is dark
reddish brown in colour. The inner bark is whitish and bitter, leaves are
pinnate. Flowers are long stalked. Fruits are berries, smooth yellow in colour.
(c) UTILIZATION
The leaves are collected together with mango,
guava and cooked with Citrus aurantifolia
.A dosage one cup is taken every morning for the cure of malaria of fever.
The young stem or root mixed with palm oil is chewed for the prevention and
treatment of stomach ache and worms.
(d) CONSERVATION
It
is a deciduous tree that thrives well in clay soil and rainforest zone. It is
being planted around the compound to provide shade due its evergreen
nature.
