Royal Canadian Mounted Police Recruitment 2018/2019 Application Form 

For a start, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP or Mounties; French, Gendarmerie royale du Canada, GRC) is both the federal police force and the national police of Canada. The RCMP provides federal (national) police services.

Furthermore,“Royal Gendarmerie of Canada”; colloquially known as the Mounties, and internally as “the Force”) is both a federal and a national police force of Canada. The RCMP provides law enforcement at the federal level.

Please Note: All major police forces in Europe, as well as the US, Canada and Australia routinely carry firearms, says Prof Peter Waddington. The exceptions are Britain, the Irish Republic, and New Zealand. In Norway officers carry arms in their cars but not on their person.











Qualification and Requirements

Imterestingly, the RCMP is seeking highly motivated team players who possess strong leadership abilities, from a wide range of backgrounds. All applicants are expected to reflect the core values of the RCMP (integrity, honesty, professionalism, compassion, respect and accountability).

During application process you will be required to provide certain documents and agree to certain conditions.

However, the length of our recruiting process varies for each individual applicant. Factors such as, how quickly and accurately an applicant completes and returns their selection package forms, the number of locations the individual has lived, and if the applicant has lived abroad can impact the time needed to process an application.

Applicants must:


  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada. …
  • Be at least 19 years of age at the time of engagement. …
  • Be proficient in English and/or French. …
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.




During the application process, you must not:

Participate in any criminal behavior or activity – whether you have been arrested and/or charged or not – in Canada or abroad.
Criminal behaviours and activities include, but are not limited to, non-medical drug/steroids use, theft, prostitution, solicitation for the purpose of prostitution, assault, and impaired driving.
Cheat on any portion of the RCMP application process, including using counter-measures during the polygraph examination.
