Boko Haram Insulgents is Threatening to Capture President Muhammadu Buhari - Yesterday in a new video the leader of Boko Haram said they are going to capture President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The latest threat came barely a month after the group said it would attack the President at Aso Villa. The footage of the new video, narrated in Hausa, said to have been shot somewhere in Borno State where the sect has its base.
The video was also posted on YouTube showing the suspected terrorists praying on what the narrator said was an Eid ground on Sallah day, Monday. The group said, despite Federal Government’s claim of victory in the war against insurgency in the North-East, it remained a strong force.The leader of Boko Haram Abubakar Shekau, did not appear in the video, but the narrator said his deputy, whose name was not mentioned, represented him at the gathering.
The new video came a few days after rumours on social media that the Federal Government had already commenced prisoner swap with the sect. The rumours said Kabiru Sokoto, a leader of the sect, who was convicted for the Christmas Day bombing in 2013, that was released turned out false as the prison authorities said the terrorist was still in prison. The message read: “Our message to the infidels, who are fighting us, especially their leader, the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, is that he should know that we are still in this religion.
Though saying that they has defeated us, it is indeed not true, because we are in good health and succeeding in our cause. We are very strong and doing very well. “Buhari is saying that he will finish us. He should also know many has said so and has failed, so Mr Buhari was saying that he is going to finish us but by the grace of Allah he cannot finish us.
He continued: Our leader, who is leading us on this, Imam Jamatu ahlus Sunnah lidda awat (Shekau), may Allah continue to protect him for us. By the will of Allah, under the leadership of our leader (Shekau), we will capture Buhari with our hands.” “My last message is to you Buratai (Tukur, Nigeria’s Army Chief), Kukasheka (Sani, spokesperson of Nigerian Army) and the rest of the infidels.” “Under the leadership of our leader, Shekau, we will step further henceforth and will destroy what we never destroyed before.
