foreign direct investment (FDI) and how it facilitates economic growth, as a
result of which posed a problem. The study tries to examine if the determinants
of foreign direct investment have significant impact on foreign direct
investment in Nigeria
within 1980-2010. However, in the course of the study, econometric methodology
which employs Ordinary Least Square (OLS) technique was used. This method was
adopted because of its Best Linear Unbiased Estimating (BLUE) properties. From
the findings, the determinants of foreign direct investment have significant
impact on foreign direct investment in Nigeria within the period under

policy that will favour foreign investors with regards on interest rate
