SHIELDING, FREQUENCY AND METHOD OF IRRIGATION IN RICE | IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE | SOIL SCIENCE

Irrigation is the artificial application of water to the soil to satisfy crop water need.

SCHEDULING IN RICE
Since irrigation water is a of limited supply in most of the place, on emphasis should be dead on making the most efficient aid economic use of water for effect of water shortage of different stage of rice on yield.

Frequency of the irrigation in rice
The frequency of irrigation are closely related and are often interchangeable with higher frequency of irrigation. The between two irrigation decrease. In a given period, while with lower frequency the internal between two irrigation increases. The term, internal of irrigation indicates the time gap.
However expressed in days, between two subsequent irrigation. The total amount of water required by a crop for producing an optimum yield is termed as delta of water and it is synonymous.
Frequency of irrigation should be as low as possible to avoid waste of water of course, frequent irrigation with smaller depths of water.
