DEFINITION
            Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat had accumulated to the extent that it may have adverse effect on health, leading to reduce life expectancy and or increase health problems.
            The body mass index exceeds 30kglm2 ie Bmi = weight > 30kglm2

3.         Non-alcoholic fatty liver
4.         Asthma
5.         Certain types of cancer
6.         Ischeamic heart dieases

8.         Polycystic ovaries syndrome
9.         High blood pressure
10.       Infertility
11.       Complications-during pregnancy
12.       Birth defects
13.       Stroke
14.       Migraine
15.       Intra-uterine death
16.       Congestive heart failure
17.       Gout
18.       Low back pain
19.       Obstructive sleep apnea
20.       Vein thrombolism
21.       Menstral dysfunction 
22.       Osteoarthritis
23.       Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases
24.       Multiple sclerosis
25.       Depression

CAUSES OF OBESITY 
1.         Endocrine disorders
2.         Lack of physical exercise
3.         Genetic susceptibility 
4.         Medication or psychiatric illness

THERAPEUTIC MANAGEMENT OR PREVENTION  
1.         Eat food with increased fiber content eg beans vegetable
2.         Reduce food such as sugar, fats
3.         Drink water instead of juice
4.         Regular exercise to burn down fat
5.         Skip snacks
6.         Avoid tobacco and caffeine
7.         Eat slowly
8.         Avoid your meals with piece of fruits
9.         Avoid food rich in cholesterol 
10.       Develop hobbies to promote regular exercise and less crave for food
11.       Use anti-obesity drugs
12.       Surgery to reduce stomach volume leading to early satiation
