DUTIES
(i) The
Head of Department/unit shall be responsible for the allocation of duties to
every junior staff employee in his department/unit and in assigning such
duties, the Head of Department/unit shall take into consideration the
employee’s grade training and abilities,
(ii) Every
junior staff employee is responsible to the Head of Department/unit for
efficient discharge of his/her duties.
(iii) It is
the duty of all staff to handle with utmost care and discretion all
privileged/classified information.
POSITING
Any employee may be posted to any Department/Unit of
the college at the discretion of the Registrar after due consultation with
Heads of Department/Unit.
UNIFORM
Employees who are required to wear uniforms while on
duty shall be provided with uniforms at the expense of the college. It shall be
an offence for such an employee not to be in uniform at all times on duty
unless excused by the Head of Department/Unit and he/she shall not wear uniform
off-duty except for journeys between his residence and place of work.
(iv)
Employees shall
be responsible for maintaining the uniforms in good condition.
(v)
An employee shall
be liable to be surcharged with the cost of replacement of any uniform in his
charge which is lot or has become unserviceable through neglect, lack of care
of willful damage on his part.
(vi)
Before leaving
the service of the college for any reason whatsoever, any employee who has been
issued with uniforms and other college property must surrender them to his Head
of Department failing which the employee concerned shall be surcharged.
ABSENCE FROM DUTY WITHOUT LEAVE
An employee who absents himself/herself from duty
without leave renders himself/herself liable to be removed from office without
formality and the onus will rest on him to show that the circumstances do not
justify the imposition of the full penalty or such other penalty as may be
imposed.
