WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY
As
if it was just yesterday, it is now four year since we signed on agreement to
form up a social forum geared toward the betterment of the members and the
society in the other hand. A forum that possessed a unique features, unlike any
other social forum within (Name of State) and Nigeria in general. A forum that
is today known as (Name Of Club/Forum). (Name Of Club/Forum) is today four, four
pillars of strength. Surely, we have come a long way.
Today as usual is dedicated to God almighty wherein we
have approached the throne of God for his mercy, love, justice, unity of
purpose and intention.
Really, (Name Of Club/Forum), has come to take place,
in this modern and democratic society of ours today. The journey has come a
long way; it is with great pleasure that I will welcome you all to another
eventful and all important occasion in recent time. It is a day in which all
the members of (Name Of Club/Forum), the special officers of (Name Of
Club/Forum) and the wished and concern public give thanks and praise to God
Almighty for gift of this professionally structured Club (Name Of Club/Forum).it
is a day we rejoice over efforts and successful stay of this year ending barely
few days now. It a day of reflection on how far we have gone. It is a day of
consideration of where we are and a day of projection of where we are heading
to. Specifically, the day is for end year party
and offering of gratitude to God almighty.
In order to pay the responsibilities and obligations
owned to society by Club, the club is
posed with numerous problem. Some of these problems are materially problem
while some are human and others are socially. It is at the quest to ensure
proper solution, guidance and advisory to these problems that moved the club to
approached Comrade Uguru Louis and Barr. (Mrs) (Name of person) to be her
patron and patroness. This the club believes will enhance the efficiency and
development of the club and the society at large
It may interest you to hear that if not for few
members of the club that are
undergraduates, every members of the
club are graduates of Bs.C with NYSC certificate. Those that are undergraduate
are already rounding up their project. That is while (Name Of Club/Forum) is
credible a club. Members are academically trained and morally nurtured.
Some are approaching their masters degree. Moreso, (Name
Of Club/Forum) is blessed with people of high. Integrity, the members hold vision on their laps, people that uphold
things that are; true, Noble, right, pure, lovely, and honourably.
Achievement
This is where we ask questions; how far Foresight in
your four years? I can proudly say that foresight have done a lot. Unlike any
other unregistered club, foresight has been registered with the government which
offers to her a legal environment to exist. It may also interest you to know that
this clubs have gained necessary office document, for proper office services
and delivery. The club have launched a varieties of plates and spoons for sumptuous
dinners. Today (Name Of Club/Forum) is proud of patron and patroness as they
say; a child without parent is not secured. The club have been given a helping
hand to her members in time of problem especially when it involved death of a
member immediate relation. This is to mention but a few.
Challenges
Irrespective of the numerous achievements. The club is
being challenged with some problems that is giving her sleepiness night. Thus:
production at least one sign post. Again, the club is academically minded, the
club is making a proposal to embark on education campaign/awareness this the
club aimed at visiting schools and colleges to sensitize the students on the
need for further education as against early marriage, living school for
hawking, career choice, and other social vices.
It is obvious that the club lacks finance to tackle
these problems of hers, but the club believed that determination they say is a
key to success. Success the say does not eliminate problem but create more
ones. We must face the difficulties and enjoy the opportunity. Are we facing
the difficulties with what? I mean, who are the players of this difficulties? Is
it these newly graduated personality who are all aspirants of employment.
However, we must not be discouraged. We should believe in the humour that not
what man get in life makes him a great one, but what he did with the one he
had. Character cannot be develop in ease and quite. Only through experience of
trails and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition
inspired and success achieved. I beg you fellow Noble to please allow this name
“(Name
of Club)” to take a place in your life, because it is what you set your
eyes on determines how you live your life. As a member of foresight club, you possessed
the ability and quality to predict things and used to prepare for future. If
you know as I know, we are expecting for a better time.
Permit
me disgusted gentlemen to appreciate God almighty for giving us the privilege
of being members of this Club. We are boldly saying “may your will be done.
Let me use this wonderful opportunity to commend the
executive members of this club for their politically and bureaucratize concern
in policy making and implementation in carrying the fears of the club.
My thanks goes to Barr. (Name of person), the pioneer
secretary of (Name Local Government Area for) his motherly care and concern to
the club. Mama you are the world best mother.
I will not rest if I failed to show my gratitude to
you members of (Name Of Club/Forum), in-fact with you this administration is a
successful and fruitful administration. On behalf of the executive, I promised
you that we must be speaking you mind; we must uphold by it. I urge you to
remember your promise also, for your maximum co-operation both financially,
morally, physically and otherwise. Such financial cooperation varies from
proper payment of dues, levies, donations, fines and pledges etc. as we all
know that he who wants to eat an elephant must set a trap with a goat.
As we celebrate the born of our Lord Jesus Christ, may
it inspire us to carry its value forward because while we have certainly come a
long way, there remains a long, long way to go.
