THE ORIGIN AND PURPOSE OF FAMILY CARE FELLOWSHIP

Our present concept of family care fellowship dates back to the early church (Acts 2:42-47, Rom.   16:3-5,   Col. 4:13).  During that time, they move from House to House,  and later began to settle in one place for fellowship - the church in thy house.  Col 4:13.
The purpose of family care fellowship are essentially fort

(i)   Fellowship,  Freedom and Friendship ( Acts 2:41.42): It is our vision that the family care fellowship will he a forum for brethren to enjoy freedom of fellowship and friendliness like a real new testament Christian community.

(ii)  Total Liberation for the Individual Brethren Acts 2;4l): In the Family care fellowship,   every believing member is free from falsehood of false teachers.    The practical familiarity,   family lifestyle,  apostle's doctrines,  Christian fellowship,  and powerful prayers liberate every participant to worship in Spirit and in truth.

(iii)  Practical Caring AMP Sharing Acts 2: 44. 45: The family care fellowship is meant to be the smallest basic unit in, the Christian society that will stick with believers through anything, accept the persecuted and hold believers statements in strict confidence. The family care fellowship should have people that can call on members at any hour of the , day when the whole world seems to be against any believer.

(iv)   Growing into Maturity Acts 2:46,47: In the family care fellowship,
believers play together,  laugh together  cry together, reason together and pray together. Here they passionately share their life Struggles and victories in such a way that individual brethren grow together into God's special favour.

(v)   Evangelization and Soul Winning Acts 2; 47:    The family care fellowship is expected to be primarily and deeply Involved in friendship and invitational evangelism within £he neighbourhood,    when such invitations are honoured, the salvation of these souls. should be the ultimate priority every saved member of the fellowship.

(vi)  Fellow up. Visitation and Preservation op Fruits Acts 2:40:     Immediate follow-up,  and purposeful visitation are to be done  in order to establish the new-converts in the faith. They are to be taught how to continue  daily with one accord.

(vii) Cell Division and Extensive Growth: As the numerical strength of the fellowship increases, they are to experience a division into two groups whenever they are more than twelve in each fellowship.    Just as the natural life depends on cell division for reproduction, and continuous existence,  the family cell should see cell division as a target.

(viii) Co-operation Communalism and interdependence among brethren Acts 2:41,4: Solomon's sage "Two are better than one for there is better reward for their labour" is an undeniable fact. John Donne confirmed this and other Biblical references and inferences when he said decades ago that “No man can be an island, complete to itself” (see Ps. 133:1-3). In the family care fellowship,  every member co-operates and depend on one another for correction,  edification,  solution to practical life issues,  and problems and of course in building the church together
