LYMPHOCYTES - EFFECTS OF CARBON MONXIDE EXPOSURE


These are divided into two the T and B   - lymphocytes subsets in peripheral blood. A study has shown that   there is a n increased in  the number of T – lymphocytes  (saetta et al,  1998)  while another suggested that laymphocytes showed    marked  significance in the study  this  was based on  the number of cigarette taken per day.  A report also   showed that there was a significant increase on the frequencies of  micronuclei on  peripheral blood  lymphocytes from smokers
(wen-sheng and you-quin,  1992). A  report recorded   high significant level which was found only in men  (dodsworth et al,  1981)  but it was also recorded that there is a  statistically  significant (p<0.05) increase in the  numbe of blood on activated lymphocytes  (apibal, 2000)  in  a study  carried  out on  smokers
