Abstract
This study is anchored on kalnut,
origin, uses, importance in Izzi society. The study was to investigate
into the origin of kolanut in Izzi clan,
what kolanut is used for in Izzi clan, and different way
kolanut is important to an Izziman . The
study also took a look, into the social – economic importance
of kolanut in Izziland as well as the
religious significant of kolaunt in the whole of Izzicaln. The
study indeed discussed full, the uses of kolanut as to welcome
guest, for conflict resolution,
marriage system mostly
traditional marriage system, and rituals
as well idol worship. The role of
kolanut as a sacred plant in Igboland Izzi society inclusive were carefully discussed. The work for easy understanding was
shared into five different
chapters which goes thus:
