Migmatitic gnesis outcrop at old Wowyen hill gnarry along Nassaraw -Eggon showing quartzo- felds pathic vein and syncline/anticline

The outcrop is along Akwanga – Lafia road and the outcrop is called Woyen quarry site. The outcrop is made up of granite gneiss and migmatite gneiss.
Band gneiss is observed and it confirmed complete differentiation. Other bands are felsic band and they compose of
quartz and feldspar bands that can hardly weather and gneiss bands composed mafic minerals.

The structures seen here are quartz veins and they are cross-cutting each other and a well defined foliation was observed due to differentiation of the mineral.
Foliation is confirmed to be the older structure in the environment.
The trends of foliation are as follows
        N16o -N195o, N22o -N201o, N28o-N208o
N20o -N250o

     Thickness of quartz vein
