When
applying for a position takes great care in planning your letter so as to give
a good impression. Do not include unnecessary information, but, at the same
time, make sure no essential detail has been omitted.
The following point are giving as a guide-
1. Draft your letter first
& check you have covered all the essential point.
2. Write your letter in ink,
under the advertisement ask for a typewriter letter. If you type your letter
make sure it is properly typed. Over types dirty erasures will give a very bad
impression.
3. Make sure your spelling is
absolutely correct.
4. Commence with “Dear Sir” or
Dear Madam” and finish with “your” Faithfully”. Never put a capital “f” or
faithfully”
5. Set out your qualification
& experience neatly – it might be letter, if they are long, to display them
on a separate sheet.
6. Cave:
(a) Full name & address,
(b) Date of birth
(c) Education,
(d) Examination certificates geared,
(e) Prevision experience,
(f) Present employment,
(g) Name & address of referees, if requested,
(h) Suitable time for interview.
7. Do not forget to sign your
letter.
