ABOUT NPOWER 2018 PROGRAMME

In the first place and according to N-power website, Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development. As a matter of fact, its portal reads; despite the current high level of unemployment, harnessing Nigeria’s young demography through appropriate skill development efforts provides an opportunity to achieve inclusion and productivity within the country Nigeria. In the line of this, large-scale skill development is the main policy thrust of the N-Power Volunteer Programme in the 36 states of Nigeria.





The official N-Power Volunteer Programme is very much connected to the Nigeria's Federal Government’s policies in the economic, employment and social development arenas. As a matter of fact, the 2018 N-Power tries to solve the challenges of unemployed youths by providing a structure for large scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development. This is done while linking its core and outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy of the different geopolitical zones.

Generally speaking, the training programmes under N-Power will ensure that each participant will learn and practice most of what is necessary to find or create jobs in Nigeria. Furthermore, N-Power Volunteer Program NPVN involves a massive deployment of 500,000 trained graduates who will assist to improve the inadequacies in our public services in education, health and civic education in the country. Additionally most of these trained graduates will also help in actualising Nigeria’s economic and strategic aspirations of achieving food security and self-sufficiency in the long run.

All things considered, Nigeria will have a pool of software developers, hardware service professionals, animators, graphic artists, building services professionals, artisans and others. In short, N-Power has also focused on providing Nigeria non-graduates with relevant technical and business skills that enhance their work outlook and livelihood altogether.


For the most part, N-Power is segmented as follows:

  3. →N-Power Build- 75,000 non-graduates

Given these points above, the current 2018 Application process only applies to the Graduates category (N-power Volunteer Corps). Ordinarily, the selection process of 2018/2019 applicants in all Graduates (N-Agro, N-tax and N-Health, and Non-Graduate Categories (N-power Knowledge and N-power Build) is underway and training and engagement of successful applicants will be done in batches. Keep in mind that as at the time of publishing this post, there is no ongoing application to the Non-Graduate categories. This is to say that Npower 2018 is not open.
