Caritas University candidate(s) must possess a minimum number of Credits in relevant subjects at his/her SSCE/GCE/O' Level or equivalent examination in not more than two (2) sittings. Mathematics and English are compulsory subjects plus any other 3 subjects.Post graduate students must have obtained and present degree certificate before they can be considered for post-graduate programmes in the university.

Admission Requirement into CARITAS University is going on at the schools campus.Caritas University is located at Amorji-Nike, Enugu, and is a private University approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria on December 16 2004.
The Institution was officially opened on January 21, 2005 by the Federal Minister for Education, Prof. Fabian Osuji and is accredited by NUC as one of the Private Universities in Nigeria.
The University is the second Catholic University in Nigeria founded by Rev. Fr. Prof. Emmanuel Paul Mattew Edeh C.S.Sp, OFR. (Founder of Madonna University).
Although he founded the school, the proprietor of the University is the Congregation of Sisters of Jesus the Saviour, a religious Congregation of Nuns founded by him.
