Nigerian Air Force Day Celebration 2017 | NAF Employment of Air Power for Enduring National Security
The National Daily Newspapers has it on the news that plans are on the way for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) day celebration 2017. According to a press statement, the theme of the event is ''Employment of Air Power for Enduring National Security'' - It will be held from Thursday, April 20 to Saturday, April 22 2017. Similarly, the Nigerian Air Force is set to officially induct its two (2) newly acquired Mi-35Ms fighter helicopters as seen here.
NAF News was reported that the helicopters will be inducted on Saturday, April 22 at the closing ceremony of the NAF day celebration 2017, which will be held at the NAF base in Makurdi, Benue state. The multirole Mi-35M attack helicopter is a comprehensive modernisation of the Mi-24V developed in Moscow, Russia and has been produced in series since the year two thousand and five.
The helicopters are not new to the NAF, as they already posses the P variant of the Russian-built helicopters. A typical Mi-35M attack helicopters.
