To Create your Sky iD Yahoo Mail - Signup new Email Account, TV Subscription, do the following on Sky website which is https://skyid.sky.com/signup/email;
  1. Select your Title; Please choose your title, this can be Mr, Mrs, Ms, Miss, Rev, Dr. Rev, Prof others
  2. Type your First name (This is your given name)
  3. Enter your Last name: (This is your Surname)
  4. Email address: choose your preferred email address
  5. Confirm email address (this is to be sure you didn't make mistakes
  6. Choose a Username
  7. Choose a Password
  8. Re-Confirm password
  9. Enter the characters in the box: Enter the characters you can see on the screen or click on the sound icon to listen to the characters. If you can't read this, try another one
  10. Thick this: "I have read and agree to the terms & conditions and privacy & cookies notice".
  11. Thick this: Sky may contact you about products and services you may like unless you click to opt out
  12. Click Create Sky iD

The first Sky iD you create should be set up by the primary account holder, as this will give them full access to the Sky account. Additional users can be created either by the primary iD holder, or by those requesting access. The primary iD holder is then responsible for authorising access to what the additional users will see. Please note: before you can create an additional user iD, you’ll need to sign out of your existing Sky iD account.

How to create a Sky iDPlay Video

There are two ways to create a Sky iD, either through sky.com or by using the email link from your order confirmation email.

Create Sky iD - Sign up through sky.com

You can sign up for a Sky iD from many of Sky’s online services and Apps. These instructions are for signing up for a Sky iD from sky.com.
  1. Go to Create a Sky iD.
  2. Enter your personal details:
  3. Email address: This must be a valid email address.
  4. Choose a Username: You can either create your own, or use your email address . If another customer has already selected your username we’ll provide you with a list of alternatives to choose from.
  5. Choose a password: This should be at least eight characters and use a mixture of letters and numbers. Don't start with a number, include your username or use the word ‘password’.
  6. Enter the captcha word displayed. If you can't read the word, click the 'try another one' link to get a different one or select the audio button to hear the word read aloud.
  7. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  8. Select Create Sky iD.
  9. On the next page, select your Sky Customer Status: Choose 'Sky TV, Broadband or Talk' if you subscribe to any of these services with Sky. Choose 'No Sky TV, Broadband or Talk' if you are not a Sky subscriber.
  10. Enter the account holder’s last name. This should be the person who pays the bill.
  11. Choose your country.
  12. Enter your: Postcode if you live in the United Kingdom. This should be the billing address postcode. Telephone Number if you live in the Republic of Ireland.
  13. Now you’ll need to enter one of the following: Your 12 digit Sky account number. You can find this on the Welcome Letter we sent to you or your most recent bill, or Your 9 digit Viewing Card number. You can find this on your Viewing Card, or The last 6 digits of the bank account number used to pay for Sky. 
  14. Select Confirm. You’ll see a Confirmation screen and we’ll also send you an email with your Sky iD username.

Change your Sky package

Whether you’re planning to upgrade your Sky subscription or remove a package from your account, you should always check online first. It could save you a lot of time and effort. 

Removing a package from your account

You can now go online to remove or cancel some packages from your account. Simply sign in to My Sky and select View my package. If you’ve forgotten your My Sky sign in details, you can reset or retrieve your username or password easily online, too. On your My Package page, find the section I'm thinking of changing my subscription. You’ll see a list of any items you can remove online. Just follow the links to get started. If you don’t see anything listed, don’t worry. Just go to our Contact us pages. Upgrading your Sky subscription

To look for customer offers or to upgrade your subscription, go to our offers and upgrades page. You’ll need to sign in with your Sky iD and username first. If you’ve forgotten your details, you can reset or retrieve your username or password online. The upgrade can take up to 24 hours to take effect, although additions should update straight away. These include Movies and Sports, or products like HD or Sky Go Extra. You can add or remove selected packages quickly and easily using the Sky Service app. Download it now for free.

Manage your Sky TV bills

Understanding your bill

We want you to understand the amounts you’re paying and how payments are taken, so that you can get to know the billing process better and plan your finances.

Working out your bill

When paying a bill, you’re paying in advance for your fixed-price subscriptions such as Sky TV, Sky Broadband, Sky Talk and Sky Line Rental. If you have any one-off charges, such as call charges, movies from Sky Store or Sky Box Office charges, these will appear on your next bill. You can view your current bill in your My Sky account once your services are installed. The amount will show 14 days before payment is due. You’ll only pay for the services you’re getting. 

Your first bill

You’ll only start paying for your service from the date it becomes active. You’ll then receive a letter or email showing your monthly charge. Your first payment will be taken 14 days after your service begins. This amount will cover the 14 days used and the remainder of your first month. For example, if your service was activated on 4 July, payment will be taken on 18 July and will cover the period 4 July – 3 August.

Your second bill

A second payment will be taken approximately 14 days after your first bill was paid, dependent on the date you have selected your Direct Debit/Credit Card payment to be taken. As payments are made in advance, this will cover your next month’s subscription. You may notice that the dates billed cover more than one month. This is because the bill will include any services that have become active since the previous payment, such as Sky Broadband, Sky Talk or Sky Line Rental. So using the previous example, your second bill will cover services for the period 4 August – 3 September. If you’ve had Sky Broadband become active since 18 July, you will also be billed for the period 18 July – 3 August.

Your third bill

Your third bill will cover all of your services and subscriptions for the next month in advance. This will be the amount you expect to pay each month, excluding any one-off charges, and will be taken one month after your second payment.

Payment due date

The date your third bill is taken will be the date all subsequent payments are taken. You can change your payment date, payment method or payment details online, through interactive or using the Sky Service app on a mobile device.

Late payment fee

We always ask you to pay your bill by your payment due date. If you don’t, we may charge a £7.50 late payment fee and your Sky services could be restricted. VAT won't be applied to this fee. We may also charge you for the costs we incur that are related to recovering debt on your account. If you incur a late payment fee this will be shown on your next bill but we won't charge this fee, restrict your services or instruct a debt collection company without contacting you first.

Other payment charges

There are other occasions when we may charge you a fee, including instances when we have to handle a payment instruction that is returned to us because you don’t have enough money in your account, the payment is cancelled or is not cleared by your bank. An example of a fee we may charge as a result of cancelling a payment is a chargeback fee. This is where you ask your card provider to reverse a payment you’ve made and that we’ve processed. If we are charged a chargeback fee by your card provider, we may pass this on to you. The current Visa and MasterCard chargeback fee is £12 for each chargeback. VAT won't be applied to this fee.

If you incur any of these fees they will be added to your bill.
