“As thou hast given him power over all
flesh that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him” (John
17:2).
That
He should give eternal life to as many as you have given Him. Everybody God has
given Him must be redeemed and have eternal life.
All Things Were Made By Him; And Without
Him... If all things were made,
manufactured or produced by our Lord Jesus Christ including man and it’s
components, it means that all His products must have their spare parts in His
warehouse or in the factory. Therefore, no matter what is happening to
you, despite what the medical experts say, God have your spare parts in His
factory. He will reproduce that kidney again. He will create a new womb
for you. You will recover your sight. Amen.
Despite what happened to your business, whether you
were robbed by armed robbers or your shop was burnt by fire, Jesus Christ will
go to His factory in the kingdom of God and will reproduce your goods. He will
multiply your finance beyond measure. Amen.
But as it is
written, eye has not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of
man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. (1 Cor. 2:9
NKJV)
No human being was created with out the consent of
Jesus Christ. The Bible says:
“Before I formed thee in the belly I
knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and
I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5).
This
means you were not created by chance or accident. Jesus knew everything concerning
you despite what you were presently passing through. Even before you were
conceived Jesus knew you will be formed in the womb. Therefore despite the
circumstances surrounding your birth, you are destined to prosper. You have
a
purpose for living and must accomplish it.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew
thee...
Look
at the word Knew, it is in the past
tense. I knew you showed that before you were created in the womb Jesus Christ
signed and approved you. He gave you life. Consequently, don’t ever feel that your
life is too complex for God to understand.
“In him was life; and the life was the
light of men”. (John 1:4)
It
is only in Jesus you can have life. This means any life you are living outside
Jesus Christ is not life even when you thought you are enjoying your self. When the social world is wasting in
iniquities they will assume that they were living life. If you don’t live life
in Jesus, death is waiting for you. Therefore, whoever did not have Jesus Christ
in his life is a dead man.
…And The Life Was The Light Of Men. The life in Jesus is the light of men (Light to
everybody in the world). Consequently, any man in Jesus Christ is a
light to the world. And if you have life, you must certainly have light in you; therefore you can never walk in darkness
or experience darkness in the world. Obviously any person walking
without light must certainly walk into darkness. Jesus says:
“As long as I am in the world, I am the
light of the world”. (John 9:5).
Which
means I am the only person causing the world to make a joyful noise? I am the
source of their joy. Do you know that the world will live in
agony without light? That is why when light comes everybody will start
rejoicing. Take for instance when there is no electricity supply in the
city, everybody will be complaining but immediately light (POWER) is supplied, their sorrows will turn to joy. That is the
efficacy of light and can merely be experienced in total darkness. And the
world we are living in is full of darkness for that reason one needs the life
and light of Jesus Christ for revolution.
Note that when you don’t have the life of
Jesus Christ in you, you cannot have His light and must remain in darkness.
Jesus is the light of the world. This light is different from the light we
enjoy from the moon and sun. This is the light of wisdom.
“Then spake Jesus again unto them,
saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life”. (John 8:12).
When
you are following Jesus, you can never walk in darkness because Jesus is the
light of the world despite how darkness covered the earth. But you shall rather
have the light of life. You can see that the word life cannot be separated
from the word light. Therefore, if you have life in you, your light
must shine upon the gross darkness that is covering the people. Jesus
says.
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if
the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth
good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city
that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put
it under a bushel, but on a candle stick; and it giveth light unto all that are
in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.” (Matthew
5:13-16).
Without we (the believers) the earth or world
will have no taste or meaning. It means we are the role models. The world
should emulate and learn from us both in sciences and arts and above all in
characters. And this is why He said that we are the light of the world. And
without you the world will remain in total darkness and will never be
enjoyable. Finally, He urged us to permit our light to shine to all men that
they may see our good works and glorify our father which is in heaven.
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1:5)
The light must shine in darkness and the darkness can
not understand it nor subdue it. The
essence of light is to
shine in darkness and the darkness cannot stop the
light from shining (even the smallest light). Note that the darkness cannot go
to the light but the light must pursue the darkness. Once the light is shinning
or comes, the darkness must continue to run away. Which is tantamount to saying
that light and darkness have nothing in common. They are like two parallel
forces or lines that can never meet each other. Therefore light and darkness in
this life can never reach
compromise. Either you are light or you are darkness.
And the light shineth in darkness...
The light is Jesus Christ and the darkness is the
principalities, powers, world forces of this darkness, spiritual forces of
wickedness in the heavenly places, witches, etc.
… And the darkness comprehended it not.
The darkness can neither overpower the light nor
absorb it. It means that the satanic powers of darkness did not overcome the
Word, but that the Word spoiled them on the cross.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.( Ephesians 6:12).
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was
against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to
His cross;
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made
a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink,
or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is
of Christ” (Colossians - 2: 14-
17).
Jesus Christ
has conquered all the powers of darkness by his death on the cross,
resurrection from the grave and ascension
to heaven. What could have been our
faith has it being that Jesus failed to resurrect after three days? His
death and resurrection gave us victory over all the powers of darkness and
spiritual wickedness in high places. For when Jesus was crucified, I was
crucified too. Therefore, when He resurrected, I resurrected.
“I am
crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of
god, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
I do not
frustrate the grace of god: for if righteousness comes by the law, and then
Christ is dead in vain.” (Galatians 2:20-21).
John the Baptist went further to say that he was not
the light, but came that he might bear witness regarding the light.
(John 1:8).
“That was
the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world”. (John
1:9).
This made me to understand that there is false or fake
light whose source is from the kingdom of darkness. This false light can lead
one into complete darkness without mercy. It has no atom of enlightenment in
it. This is the reason we have false or fake teachers of the bible who are
teaching the enticing words of men wisdom because they want to be quickly rich.
But Jesus Christ is the true light, which enlightens
every man that is coming into the world. There is no man coming into the world
that will not experience the true light of Jesus Christ upon himself. Every man supposes to experience this true light. For
Jesus Christ was in the world, and the world was made by Him, but the bad news
was that the world knew Him not. (John 1:10)
Not only was Jesus in the world in human form, but the
world was also made by Him right from the origin. Therefore Jesus Christ is
both God and man and He is the perfect expression of God in human form. And yet the world of sinners did not know Him. This
is very sad.
“He came
unto his own, and his own received him not” (John 1:11)
Jesus came to his own people but His own people
rejected him. They said no to the Messiah. They preferred an armed robber to
Jesus Christ who is their Messiah. They told Justice Pilate to release Barabas
for them but to crucify Jesus Christ. This is very sad. What a great atrocity
the world of His own creation committed?
Here is the good news:
“But as many
as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of god, even to them
that believe on his name”. (John 1:12)
Now let us take a pertinent hard look of the phrase “but as many as’’... it shows that there is no limit to the numbers of people that can
receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. This time around not only the Jews (that were called his own people) but also the gentiles (the whole world
at large). Despite your race, whether you are black or white man. Despite
your language, whether you speak Igbo or Greek. Despite the great atrocities
and immoralities you have committed whether you are a prostitute, homosexual,
lesbian, fornicator, adulterer, womanizer, idol worshipper, armed robber,
ritualist, assassin, political thug, abortionist, cultist, witch, fraudster
(419) etc.
But as many
as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of god…
So, that made me to understand that there is power to
become the sons of God. Consequently, there is no child of God
without power because immediately you received Jesus Christ power is
automatically transferred and transmitted into you. But are you aware
of this power? Whenever you are speaking in the name of Jesus Christ all the
devils must obey you. When the disciples of Jesus Christ came back from
evangelism they were cerebrating and rejoicing and they said unto Jesus Christ
that even the devils are subject unto us through your name. (Luke 10:17) The power
to become the sons of God was given unto them and they were aware of it.
Jesus
confirmed this power to His disciples when he told them:
“Behold, I
give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power
of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. (Luke 10: 19)
The promises were not given to the 72 disciples only
but to as many as received Him and believed on him to them gave He the power or
authority and privilege to become His sons. Which is tantamount to saying that
they will do exactly the works that Jesus did on earth even greater works.
“Verily,
verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he
do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father”.
(John 14:12).
As a child of God you have the liberty and right to
use power that was delegated unto you. But the question is, “Are You Aware Of
This Power? And if you were not aware of this power delegated unto you, you cannot
be aware of the license you have to exercise it. First thing is to have power,
second is to be aware of it and third is to demonstrate, display and manifest
this power. One can have power but for the fact that he didn’t know the value
of what God has deposited in him, he will be completely incapacitated to
operate it. That is why a child of God will be complaining of poverty
every year forgetting that the true and active word of God in him is money when
utilized very well. The gospel was
preached to the poor and what is the essence of the gospel being preached to
the poor? It is to make the poor rich. (Luke 4:18).
