Every
Saturday is the day that the youth of Arch angel Catholic Church, satellite
town, Lagos use in clearing and tiding up the church premises. And it was on
Saturday morning during harmatan period. The weather was very cool and the
breeze was touching deeply into the nervous and the youth of the church trooped
out in their usual mode of working with their working tools gathered under a
tree for the opening prayer which was lead by vice chairman of the youth.
After
the opening prayer the youth chairman thank the youth for coming out despite
the cold weather of the harmatan and he also commend on the way which work is
been done. He said that is a sad thing that despite the huge number of youth
that is always present here every Saturday at the end of the day, the work done
will seen as if there is only a few number of youth that was present for the
work that is highly embarrassing that if anyone have a solution for the problem
or know what we will do or have something to say that will lead to meaningful
information or suggestion on how to solve the problem is free to make a speech.
After
numerous speech and suggestion from my fellow youth member I rise up my hand
for me to be appoint before I can make a speech or suggestion, which I was
permitted to do so. I stood up and great in our usual way of greeting. I said
that it is a sad story that after coming out in this large number for use to
put hands together to work for our church and for our God at the end of the
day, the work done will seen as if it is a work done by few individual that I’m
not saying that the problem is over population (referring to another person
suggestion) because as we all have decided to be here despite the cold weather,
that means we are really here to work. But some of us are really here to answer
present and not to work.
