Some people may want to write a letter to their bank to transfer
their account names or account numbers to or from a particular account to
another but don’t know how to start or end the letter. Here is a practical
example of how to write the letter. Please note that this example would guarantee
that your bank will reply you, it’s just written to give a clue or help to any
intended writer.
It is advised to use you company letter headed paper which
already carries your address but for personal accounts, it’s advised that you
address be written in the right or left hand side depending on the format of
writing.
The body of the letter should be very short and direct to
the point instead of biting around the bush. Make the conclusion clear. Sign
and write the name of the cashier or manager.

(Name of Bank),

Dear Sir,
REQUEST FOR TRANSFER OF ACCOUNT
We humbly request for transfer of
our account (Write the Name of
Account) account No: (write the
account number) from your branch to branch I (Address; Ogoja Road for example)
reason best known to us.
We shall be grateful for your prompt approval.
