WAEC Releases Results for May/June 2017 - Check Your WASSCE Result Here
WAECDIRECT.ORG - This is to inform the general public that the the West African Examination Council, WAEC, has released its May/June 2017 Secondary School Certificate Examination WASSCE results on 17th July 2017 so that students who wrote the exam can check their results online.

According to news gathered from national newspapers, the WAEC council told the public through its official Twitter account on Monday night at about 7:00 pm. Furthermore in their report, they said that the results of 94.36 percent of the total number of candidates (numbering to about 1,471,151) that sat for the WAEC examination were released on the WAEC Result Checker Portal.

Moreover, the news update stated that; from the total registered number, about 923,486 candidates, which represents approximately 59.22 percent, obtained minimum of number of 5 credits in five subjects and above, including Mathematics and English Language.
On the other hand the council says that candidates who sat for the examination in 2017 will be able to check their results via www.waecdirect.org.
As a matter of fact, it is strictly recommended that all the candidates to use the result checker PIN and Serial Number on the CIVAMPENS Card issued to them.
Above all and according to him, out of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, 1,471,151 (One Million Four Hundred and Seventy One Thousand One Hundred and Fifty One) candidates, representing ninty foour point thirty six percent (94.36%) have their results fully processed and released. Also 95,734 (Ninety Five Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four) candidates, representing 5.64% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to errors traceable to the candidates in the course of registration or writing the examination.

Generally speaking, the news mentioned that a total of 923,486 (Nine Hundred and Twenty Three Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty Six) candidates, representing 59.22%, obtained minimum of credits in five (5) subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics. Its a fact making the news now.
In the same way, the WAEC Board observed that 59.22%, percent performance of candidates that obtained five (5) credits and above including English Language and Mathematics in the WASSCE for School Candidates represents an improvement to the result in two thousand and fifteen (2015) and two thousand and sixteen (2016) which was 38.68% and 52.97%, respectively.

In conclusion, the WAEC results of 214,952 (Two Hundred and Fourteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Two) candidates, representing 13.79% of the total candidature for the examination are being withheld in connection with cases of examination malpractice, the news said.
