INTRODUCTION
Technology in this context technology means the
application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. Technology is a
body of knowledge used to create tools develop skills, and extract of
application of science (the combination of the meet on objective or to solve a
problem.
AMBITION
Many people have different ambitions in life. So the word
ambition would have different definitions, depending on whom you ask, to me
ambition is a burning (urge) desire to active your goals or succeed.
Ambition is related to:
Dedication, motivation and time. So ambitions in other
words is the motive force needed to propel all of us to work to wards our set
cherished goals. It is the dynamic inner force that has led people from all
walks life to cleave to a new path; set a new Ambitions can both make a person
active things wonderful and beyond one’s natural abilities, and also have the
power to corrupt and completely alter one’s sense of reality and morality.
Ambition is also an eages, and sometimes an
inordinate, desire for honour, superiority, power, or the attainment of something
to obtain a goal that is immensely desired. Ambition is something that
everyone, no matter their age or cultural back ground has instinctively. It can
be a driving force for success, or in some cases a road to failure without an
ambition we have no purpose in our lives.
Every person has some aims and ambitions of his/her
life. Some get success to active those goals and some fail. Mahatma Gandhi
sacrificed his life for the sake of India. Everybody body is born to serve some
purposes. Every one should be aware of his ambition in life. Desire may be
many, but an ambition is a different thing.
Nowadays, many people think ambition is antisocial; it
is never pretty prospect to ponder. But
in my opinion, ambitions important and necessary for our society. It is a fundamental skill of accumulating
power and living good life. It produces action. It makes choice possible. It is
a narrative or context of concerns and commitments that brings forth moods of
passion, assessment of situations and actions, strategies and tactics,
requirements for power, and skill.
What if a person does not have an
ambition? A person without an ambition has no commitment to take care of their
future. They may want desire, prefer a good future, but they lack commitment to
do so. They do not act in the present to produce favourable consequences in the
future.
And to think of it, what the world
will be like without ambition? The highly developed society hangs back and new
invention disappears. New discovery vanishes. All of which human beings creates
will never come to our life. That’s an unbelievable phenomenon. So in my
opinion, ambition is so important and necessary for both individuals and our
society that we will never abandon falling in it.
I have thought long and well about
the ambition of my life. I neither want wealth, nor fame, nare nor power. My
only ambitions to serve my mother land honestly/sincerely and lovingly.
The above explanations of what
ambition is all about will now lead me to my ambition in studying technology in
Ebonyi State university
My aim or ambition in studying
technology is to become an architect. To enable me through my scientific
knowledge practically design things that can better the society or that can
improve the modern society. E.g modern
house
Modern
bridges
Modern
cars
Scats
or house hold and also infrastructures.
And
to achieve this, I have to work very hard for it.
Skills I need to acquire
Every
ambition in life have skills that is needed to be acquired in other to achieve
that aim.
Such
skills may include:
- Good Academic/Educational skill
Talent without an education is an good as nothing. You may be naturally talent
on a particular thing but you need educational skill to back that talent up.
With a good academic skill you can communicate meaningfully to people that need
help in your field of study.
Disciplined, and a responsible nature:
For people to recognize your good
job you have to be disciplined and have a responsible nature for people to
appreciate.
You good job co-operative nature:
For me to be successful, I need
co-operative spirit to be able to work as a team.
Practical knowledge:
Here
I need to be practically equipped because practical is a fastest means to
communicate.
Step1 would adapt to acquire those
skills:
- Punctuality:
Here, I need to be punctual in
attending classes to be able to pay attention to the lecturers of my lecturers
both in theory and practical aspect.
- Research:
Here, I have to research items form
other successful technologies to know how hard they have worked to be at the
top of their filed.
Problems/envisage during my study:
- Finance:
Here, I need money to acquire this
knowledge e.g paying of my school fees, buying of books, and doing of practical
work.
- Strike action of lecturers or
students
Here, if the lecturers decide to go
on strike maybe because of one problem or the other, it would be difficult for
me to achieve my aim because no body is there to guide and direct me on what to
do.
And if the student decide to go on
strike too, it will be a big loss to me because what lost cannot be re-gained
and this will affect my study.
Government policy:
If the government decides to place
policy in many things that affect the line of my course, it will affect my
study
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, with these above, by
the grace of God almighty if everything is equal you can achieve your ambition
in in any University.
