WHAT SHOULD BE THE TEACHERS’ OBJECTIVES IN ASKING QUESTIONS?

a.  To develop pupils’ ability to think and organize their thoughts for effective use in problem-solving.
b.   To give pupils plenty of practice in thinking, analyzing, applying, synthesizing and evaluating ideas. Such practices are invaluable for their successful career in the school.
c.   to enable pupils use the facts or information gained with understanding.
d.   To help pupils become creative thinkers who are ever ready to ask and answer questions.
Classroom operation should be deeply involved in ‘give and take’ policy. Teachers must not monopolize it.
