AFRICAN SPEECH ANALYSIS

AND FREEDOM BY CHIEF ALBERT LUTULI AT OSLO UNIVERSITY. 11TH DECEMBER
1961.
The speech centered or is all about novel
prize by his country, South Africa. He made his feelings known to the audience
that “it is a great honour to line to stand on his rostrum where many of the
men of our time have stood. He said that although the noble prize (noble peace
Award) is a tribute to his contribution to democracy, both of the colour and
peaceful solution. He made it known to them (listeners).
That
he is against the law of the land virtually criticizing the law of the God for
having created men of colour. He said that as a Christian he cannot tolerate
it. He as well stated that the award is a thing that gives encountered to him
and also those who think as he does.
With
the power of his speech, he was able to point some things negative that he
doesn’t like. His speech was of two of two way painting out errors for
correction and on the other hand acknowledging the good works done by the
people of his country South Africa who has received Award as he was receiving.

I AM AN AFRICAN
To
analyze this very speech I must state at this juncture that the speaker used a
lot of figures of speech to convey his massage to the audience, which made it
difficult. In his speech, he made his being an African known to people, (hear
him say…” I know that none dare challenge me when I say-I am an African”)
He
spoke on the “titanic” and asunder state of the (his) country. He condemned
superiority of force over another.
With his speech he
printed out that the former deed of the ancestors should be obliterated from
memories, because remembering it will teach them never to be in human again.
This
kind of speech is to correct and encourage the listeners. And also to be proud
of being African man or woman. No matter your colour, it does not judge the
person you are (it does not make you subhuman).

THE ROAD FROM NON-VIOLENCE TO VIOLENCE. 20 MAY 1964
The
speaker was addressing the church congregation on the history of relationship
between black and the white. He made the listeners to understand that although
the black struggled to defend their country against white encroachment but in
the end lost the fight to the white.
During
his speech, he told them that instead of the blacks to continue fighting them,
the decided to learn the white man’s way, he condemned to tell them the through
schools, church etc which are among the civilization that the white has brought
to South Africa, they will find a new place in it.
Mathew’s speech was that of educational from the history which is capable
of shaping the attitude of the customers.
He disclosed to them how they were stopped from excercising their voting
right, how they were made to surfer and labour under the white (or in the hands
of white but now they are or they are independence of the white. This goes to
say that endurance and patience matter in life. The speech is simply
informative and educative. The power of speech cannot be over emphasized.

MANDELA AT HIS INAUGURATION AS A PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICAN ON 10 MAY 1994.
PRETORIA
In his
speech as a new president of South Africa, he reminded of their country’s
disaster that lusted for so long and at the same hand told them to daintily
work towards seeing that South Africa is a country that all universe will be
proud of. He pointed out in his speech that they have all seen. The way the
country has turned apart in a terrible conflict because it has known world wild
for practice of racism and racial oppression.
He went
further to late them appreciate the happiest thing that has happened which was
the fact that humanity has taken them back into its bosom. They have been given
the privilege to be on list of the nation of the world.
From
his speech, one can understand that it was a speech of triumph and victory
which in not small measure had made the listeners to realize that they have
every reason that celebrate and embrace and another and as well try to avoid
any thing capable of destroying the glory of the new born liberty.

UNITED NATIONS.
24 SEPTEMBER 1993
In his
speech, he was congratulating apartheid committee. He was able to make it known
to them that each and every one of us has felt humanity denied by the mere
existence of the apartheid system. He painted out if the were no more than disposable
garbage. He expressed his profound gratitude of the people of South Africa for
the committee’s engagement in the common struggle.

MY FELLOW CITIZENS
This
speech was made to congratulate the citizens of America on his inaugural day as
the president of united state of America. During this speech he extended thanks
to the past president bush. He extended thanks to the earth he is take was
taken amidst gathering cloud.
He made
it known to the listeners (citizen) that no doubt their country is in crisis.
He said during his speech that the challenge they are facing is real, serious
and many “we remain a young nation, but in the words of scripture, the time has
come to set aside childish things.
With
the power of speech, he challenged the American citizens to stand up and face
the real crisis they are facing and that will be done by removing totally
all-childish things. Lastly on his speech he reminded them of the equality of
all humanity and therefore deserves the chance to pursue their full measure of
happiness.
