THE ORIGIN AND HISTORY OF INTERNET

Internet is a network of networks which is logically linked together by a globally   unique address space based on the internet protocol (IP) or its subsequent extensions or follow ones
Millions of computer all over  the  would  are connected through the internet by  which a huge  source of information  is  accessible to people  across the  world giving information in every field of  human endvaour

ORIGIN OF INTERNET
In  1969 Department of Defence (DOD) of USA started  a network called ARPANET  (advanced research projects administration network)  with one computer  at  California   and  three at Utah. Later on other universities  and R and D  institutions were allowed to connect to the Network . APARNET quickly grew  to encompass the entire   American continent and became a part of APRANET. So  the network was broken into two smaller part  MILNET for managing military sites and APRANET (smaller ) for  managing  non –military sites. Around  1980 , NSFNET (national science foundation Network ) was  created. With the advancement of modern communication facilities, other computer were also allowed to be linked  up withy any computer of NSFNET. By  1990  many computers were looking up to NSFNET giving  birth to internet.

And because they  had the time and motivation graduate students on the various composes  performed much  of the effort necessary to make the early ARPANET actually work these  students  developed protocols,  software, and hardware  as needed inventing   technology as they went along and sharing   it with staff at the other sites.  The  free sharing of knowledge and technology that   ensured help to shape today’s   internet culture, in which information and  soft ware are often freely shared.
Providing   opportunity or equality
Indian constitution  ha introduced  the term ‘equality   because we are not getting equal opportunities in all aspects. Education teachers us  to give equal opportunities in all  aspects  irrespective of caste, creed, color, sex and religion

Computer and digital  technologies had changed the life of millions in some two decades as they were  massively introduced into  different spheres of mans activity
Once  computers were  invented, scientists started to  think over building  a network of them in order to  have access to the information which is  stored   on different  machines (computers)  remote from each other . this  resulted  in the  development of the computer networking  principles which  was  later modified and turned  into  the  global computer network or internet.
The word “internet” was coined in  1985  by the US Defense Department, shortened from internet work i.e.  Inter-network.
The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary 6th edition  defined the internet as an international computer network connecting other networks and computers from companies,  universities, etc. Free dictionary.com defines the internet as a single worldwide  computer network that  interconnects  other  computer networks, on which end –user services such as  World Wide Web Sites on data achieves, are located enabling data and other information to be exchanged.
The internet in simple terms is a network of the interlinked computer networking worldwide, which is accessible to the general public. These interconnected computers work by transmitting data   through a special type  of   packet  switching   which is known  as the internet protocol (IP)
The idea to build a computer network was not  sporadic. So we shall explore the history of  what  led  (the development) to the internet we know today.
