PENTION BENEFITS OF OFFICERS WHO DIE NATURAL DEATH


While on officer dies in the service after the completion of the minimum period of qualifying service i.e. 10 years his entitlements are paid to the designed survivor/Legal personal representative or recorded next-of – Kins (5) named by him during his life time. His entitlements are completed as if he has retired on the date of his death. A pension for 5 years is paid to the designed survivor the pension could be paid over a period of five years or lump sum.
            Both pension and gratuity are paid together: And where there is no record of service,
administrator general office or a letter of administration as the case may be.
Out prenting himself for interviewed  after the anniversary of the 5 years period be he then begins to file the life certificate form.
            If on the event of death within the 5 years period his survivor or Legal representative shall be paid the balance of his five years pension allowance on the presentation of a stamped death certificate.
