GENERAL
INFORMATION ABOUT THE DIRECTORATE
The
directorate of physical planning and development , is one of the non-academic
directorates of the Ebonyi State
University, Abakaliki (or any
other establishment) ETC
The directorate plays a vital role in the
achievement of educational objectives
of the university by planning and developing physical facilities of the
university. The directorate is headed by a chartered civil /structural engineer who is responsible
to the vice –chancellor for the day –to-today
activities of the
directorate

The directorate of physical planning and
development was created in the year 2011
. the directorate started with 5 staff in the year 2011.
comprising of well seasoned Architect, Chartered Civil/ Structural
Engineer, Registered Builder, Registered Estate Officer and Electrical
Engineering Personnel

design of physical infrastructural
development of the university

and supervision of capital projects

Preparation of
contract documents, co –ordination of tendering
evaluation of bids and award of contracts

Monitoring of
physical development projects of the university

Liaise with all the financing bodies and agencies on behalf of the
university in respect of capital
fund utilization and appropriation.

Co-ordinate the services of consultants and contractors
for physical infrastructural
developments for the university.

technical adviser to the vice –chancellor on
matters relating to physical development of the university
