I have a friend who got a contract from the state government to fence a secondary school in Udu Local Government Area, after some period of time, he was requested to write and submit a letter explaining the extent of which the job has gone. He tried for several days but could not come up with a good explanation in writing even though he has done a good job at the site. When i visited him at his office, he confided in me as a friend and asked me to help him in composing a letter of such. Firstly i scratched my head (very funny) because I wasn't able to come up with anything
good but after about 30mins I was able to scratch out the below letter from my head and decided to share it here on my blog just to see comment and corrections from readers. If you think I have done a good job in writing please comment below. Here we go;

Report On the Perimeter Fencing Of Community
Secondary School, Mbegi Kilobo Located In Udu Local Government Area, A Project
Executed By The Peoples Democratic Party, Udu Local Government
I most humbly wish to brief you on the extent and
level of job done on the above stated project so far.
You would recall that the aforementioned contract
was awarded to us in the year 2008. Then in a bid to ensure speedy and proper
execution of the project, we commenced work at the site without any delay.
Meanwhile, the under stated are the summary and
analysis of work done so far on the project.
A – Block
work: The block work has been done up to
seventy-five percent (75%)
B – The Major Gate: The
major entrance gate has been firmly fixed.
C – The Gate
House: The Gate House has been
constructed and properly roofed. While the finishing touches are yet to be
completed.
D – Pillars: Up
to 45% of pillars have been inserted and cast accordingly.
FUNDS SO FAR RECEIVED
FROM THE MAJOR CONTRACTOR ARE THUS:
The sum of Eight Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy
Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Ninety Four Naira, Fourteen Kobo only (N8,974,794.14)
has been so far received from the major contractor.
