TRADTIONAL MEDICINE PLANTS IN NIGERIA


In Amagu community (Nigeria), there are many plant which are of medicinal important. Therefore, our health is mostly attributed to the plant we make use of in our every day life. Most plant species contain some medicinal properties which is applied to our herbal medicinal needs.


The identification and morphology of some medicinal plant in Amagu community has helped a lot for the treatment of many diseases in the area and of course in Ezza south in general. 

In the past, there are some problems of inability to cure some fatal diseases which killed a lot of people then, but today some of such dangerous diseases are being cured in our modern traditional medicine has become very costly for the poor masses in the village to afford  and to this end, traditional medicine has played a vital role in this present time and people can now applied it for the treatment of many diseases. Traditional medicine is cheaper and even more effective than the orthodox medicine. In Nigeria today, huge amount of money is spent on the importation of orthodox medicine.
